At The Quest Team we are committed to protecting your privacy and using technology that gives you the most powerful and secure online experience possible. This Statement discloses the information practices for The Quest Team's Website as well as our workshops and seminars. It identifies what type of information is gathered and tracked, how the information is used and with whom the information is shared. This Privacy Statement applies solely to information collected by The Quest Team website.
In general, you can visit The Quest Team website and access our information without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. There are times, described below, when we may need information from you.
If you set up an account in order to be notified of upcoming courses you will be asked for your name and email address. You may choose to give us personal information such as your company name, title, and mailing address. The information that you provide enables us to send you information that is most likely to suit your interests.
When registering for a classroom or online course you will be asked for all of the above and your course registration and completion will be recorded and stored. We use this information to communicate with you about course logistics; produce classroom course participant lists (in classroom courses) for course registrants; and fulfill your present/future requests related to the course, such as providing you with course restricted information, replacement completion certificates, etc. You may select to "receive" or "not receive" information about other and future courses.
when ordering a product you will be asked for all of the above. This will be recorded and stored, along with shipment information in order to respond to you about your shipment, as well as meet legal requirements.
When registering for a course or purchasing a product from The Quest Team, you may pay online with a bank card, or by mailing in a check. If you choose to pay by bank card, we will ask you to provide a credit card number and related information. As do most companies, we use an outside credit card processing company to facilitate payment. We pass your information to our processing company in an encrypted form to protect the privacy of your information. The Quest Team does not retain your credit card number (other than the last four digits) and related information in its records.
Occasionally a customer will want to provide a credit card number by telephone or fax and ask us to process a transaction on their behalf. Upon completion of such a transaction, we destroy the credit card information and do not retain it in our records.
If you have a personal or corporate account with The Quest Team you can sign on to our website at any time, using your user name and password, and access the personal information that we have collected from you. In most cases you can make changes to the information, or remove it altogether, yourself. If you need help, contact us and our staff will assist you.
If you have a personal account and work for a company that has a corporate account with The Quest Team, your personal information is viewable by the corporate account holder as well as by yourself. This enables the corporate account holder to make course registrations on your behalf, and to see a record of courses you have taken. It may also be that your personal account was initially created by the corporate account holder. Once such an account has been created, the corporate account holder can view your information, but may not change or remove it. Only the personal account holder may make changes to an account or close an account.
Users are invited to subscribe to The Quest Team's mailing list. You may subscribe and unsubscribe from our mailing list at will. A user name and password is not required; you may subscribe and unsubscribe by selecting appropriate links in the emails that we send you.
If you have a Mailing List subscription and subsequently decide to register for a class or make any other purchase, you will be asked to convert your subscription to a personal or corporate account.
Account holders may close their accounts as described above. We will de-activate your account, but we may retain information about you for the purposes authorized under this Privacy Policy unless prohibited by law. For example, we may retain information to be able to respond to you about prior course attendance or to comply with legal obligations
The Quest Team sends commercial messages by email to addresses on our mailing list and to personal and corporate account holders. Every such message will include a link and instructions for unsubscribing from our mailing list. We promptly comply with all unsubscribe requests.
The Quest Team makes every effort to conduct our email marketing in an ethical manner. We build our mailing list in several ways. We invite participation through our Website. We conduct careful research of the industries we serve in order to identify people that we think will want to receive our content. The research is performed by our own staff, not by any outside party or automated system. We do not purchase bulk mailing lists. We do not disclose participant's information to others. We promptly honor every request to unsubscribe.
A transactional email is a message whose primary purpose is to communicate with you about business you are conducting with us (such as taking a course), or may be in response to an inquiry you may have made. Transactional emails, even if they contain some amount of commercial information, are not subject to the same rules of subscription that apply to commercial emails. This means, for example, that a customer can choose to opt-out from receiving commercial messages from us without obstructing any future transactional correspondence that may arise between us in the normal course of business.
We take extensive precautions, both on and off line to protect our users' information. Recognize, however, that no method of transmission over the Internet or via mobile device, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we use strong commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security online.
All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
We use cookies to collect domain-level information from visitors to our website, and to manage the user experience of visitors who log in using a personal or corporate Quest Team account. This is done to help us better understand the habits of users and to improve the user experience on our website. Specifically, Google Analytics tracks many of the domains from which people visit, measures visitor activity on individual Quest Team website pages, and reports device type, operating system and browser. Other personal information is not captured or stored.
Our website contains links to other websites. The Quest Team is not responsible for the privacy practices of other such sites. We encourage users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information.
Your information will not be shared with other companies for solicitation purposes or used for purposes other than stated above.
